OUR HOMEOWNER ASSOCIATION SAYS WE CAN'T PUT SIGNS IN THE YARD, WHAT CAN I DO?
Even though the first amendment of the constitution gives you the right to display this sign, you can't always put it on a lawn that is owned by a business, even if you own a share in that corporation. So, put your sign in your window, hang it on your door or tie it to your porch railing or to a lawn chair you own. Be courteously assertive about your free speech rights while respecting communal property.
I PRAY FOR AMERICA ALL THE TIME, WHY DO I NEED A SIGN?
The sign invites others to join you in prayer. It makes this prayer time visible and explicit. You are making a public witness. Others know you aren't looking at dandelions--you are praying! Try this prayer-evangelism strategy for three months and note what happens in your neighborhood. Send us your story and picture!
WOULDN'T IT BETTER IF I LEFT THE SIGN OUT ALL THE TIME INSTEAD OF JUST A DAY OR TWO?
Some neighbors may complain about a permanent sign. But, they wouldn't bother fussing over a sign that is put away part of each week, The sign is corrogated plastic and should last for years. But sheltering it from the elements when it isn't really needed will keep it looking like new.
FIVE MINUTES SEEMS SHORT. WOULDN'T A LONGER PRAYER MEETING BE BETTER?
Not everyone has more than a few minutes to spare. It's best to keep the meeting short, pleasant and prayerful. Try to get into prayer quickly. Close after a few precious and satisfying minutes of glorious praying. Those who must leave have received their pause for refreshing prayer. Others who desire to do so may remain to chat or pray more. God can, will and has used short prayers in big ways.
WILL I HAVE TO PROVIDE REFRESHMENTS OR INVITE PEOPLE INDOORS?
No. You don't need to make coffee, clean house or even change your clothes. This prayer time is easy to add to your ordinary life. In extreme weather, dress appropriately and move to a covered porch or carport.
HOW CAN I SET UP MY PRAYER MOMENT WHERE I WORK?
It is a fine idea. Indoors, you may be able to put the sign up on a bulletin board or lean it against your desk. Try downloading the sign art from our website and printing a paper copy. We hope to soon be able to offer a magnetic version of the sign that can be placed on a break room 'frig' each week. Run the idea by your supervisor first and get suggestions on placing the sign. Make sure a few co-workers can join you before deciding on a time.
WHERE DOES THE MONEY GO?
About half goes to shipping, packaging, and transaction processing. Most of the rest goes to manufacturing and printing. But, we bless ministries that help us get the word out and get more people praying for their nieghborhoods and for America. When you tell us who referred you, and it is one of our partner ministries, they get a check from us to forward their work for the Lord!
